On 12 May 2002 Maharishi Mahesh Yogi gave a full length interview by satellite link to Larry King on CNN's 'Larry King Weekend' show - billed by CNN as the Maharishi's first television interview in 25 years. It was also to be his last full interview with a major television network before he died in 2008.

In the segment below Maharishi discusses Transcendental Meditation, the self-development technique for which he was most well-known. As a form of meditation not dependent on religious or philosophical belief the technique has been adopted by people across the world irrespective of personal background or culture.
